Nylon and Delrin also are most popular used in many industries .Despite these similarities, nylon is generally stronger than Delrin. Extruded nylon has a tensile strength of 12,400 PSI and cast nylon has a tensile strength of between 10,000 and 13,500 PSI. In contrast, Delrin has a tensile strength of 10,000 PSI.
Not all plastics materials can be machined. The more rigid a plastic then the easier it is to be machined. The more flexible and the softer plastics are not suitable for machining.So choosing the right processing materials can help you improve product quality and save processing costs.
