AL6061

6061aluminum alloy is a high quality aluminum alloy produced by heat treatment and predrawing process.6061 aluminum is a heat-treatable alloy, with good formability, weldability, machinability, at the same time has moderate strength, can still maintain good operation after annealing.

AL5754
(H22)
5754 aluminum alloy is a typical Al-Mg alloy containing 2,6-3,6% magnesium. The addition of magnesium precipitates Mg 2 Si in the matrix to provide reinforcement. The commonly used tempering states of materials are 5754-H111 and 5754 H22, H12, H14, H114, etc. Al 5754 has high strength resistance, excellent atmospheric and Marine corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, and is suitable for anodic oxidation protection.

Heat treatment technology
1) Homogenizing annealing: heating 440℃; Hold heat for 12 ~ 14h; Air cooling.
2) Rapid annealing: heating 350 ~ 410℃; Holding time 30 ~ 120min; Air or water cooling.
3) High temperature annealing: heating 350 ~ 420℃; When the thickness of the finished product is ≥6mm or <6mm, the holding time is 2 ~ 10min or 10 ~ 30min; Air cooling.
4) Low temperature annealing: heating 250 ~ 300℃ or 150 ~ 180℃; The holding time is 1 to 2 hours and the air is cooled.

AL6082

6082 is a heat-treatable alloy with good formability, weldability and machinability. Improve Dimensional Stability In cNC Aluminum


Remove the internal stress of the material
 
The common way for removing internal  stress is to use natural or artificial aging and vibration treatment.  Secondly, Cutting the excess parts in advance and continuing to process after 1-2 hours of natural aging can also eliminate the deformation.

Improve the clamping method of the workpiece When machining some thin wall parts,use suction cups to distribute clamping force evenly along with the thin plate;  Fill the inside of the workpiece with a medium to improve rigidity.

Improve the cutting ability of the tool The material and geometric parameters of the tool have an important influence on the cutting force and cutting heat. 

Choose a reasonable machining process The CNC high-speed machining process is generally: rough machining – semi-finish machining – clear corner machining – finishing.  For parts with high precision requirements, it is necessary to increase the number of semi-finishing machining and retain a uniform machining allowance.

Use appropriate methods of operation Choose the right feed speed, spindle speed, and cutting depth;  Symmetrical machining for the front and back of the workpiece;  Multi-layer machining for all cavities of the workpiece;  Use drilling and then milling when machining parts with a cavity.
Attention For Aluminum CNC Machining
It is the general trend that the CNC machining precision of aluminum alloy requires more and more high. It is obvious that the application of aluminum parts in high-precision instruments will be more extensive.
Some Points for attention in CNC machining of aluminum alloy parts:
1. When the workpiece is too high, please use different grades and lengths of cutting tools to thicken 
2. After thickening the thick tool, remove the excess part with the tool and ensure the excess part before sharpening the tool.
3. Flat surface with flat edge instead of ball edge processing, reducing the processing time.
4. The four corners of the calibration plane must be smooth.
5. The inclination is integer, and it is processed with a inclined tool, such as pipe position.
6. Before performing various tasks, ensure the residual amount after machining in the previous work to avoid the occurrence of empty tools and redundant machining.
7. Take the easy way out.  For example, styling, ditching, avoiding one side, overlapping, etc.
8. When routing, don't walk ROUGH if you can finish.
9. In the case of a shape-cutter, the light should be first roughened and then exposed. In the case of higher workpiece, lighting should be first before lighting.
10. Set tolerances reasonably, balance machining accuracy and computer calculation time. Tolerance is set to remaining 1/5 when too open, and 0.01 when light cutting.
11. CNC cutting is to make the machining more reasonable processing method,  is also a common process of aluminum alloy precision machining,  the use of multi-direction cutting function of end milling tool,  spiral cutting interpolation and equal height interpolation, it chooses as few tools to process a small number of holes.
12.  Add more projects and reduce empty tooling time.   Think more and reduce the chance of making mistakes.   Slightly increase the auxiliary surface of the auxiliary line to improve the processing conditions
13.  Choose a reasonable cutting allowance, the staff according to the need to be processed materials, hardness,  cutting state, the type of material,  cutting depth and so on to choose the cutting speed.  These conditions are essential to effectively reduce machine wear.
14.  Choose the right tool.    Rough turning, generally speaking, the best choice of high strength, durable tools,  so that it can better meet the requirements of the rough turning
15.Choose a reasonable fixture.  Parts to fully meet the needs of the machine,  in order to reduce unnecessary positioning errors, the best choice of special fixture clamping tools.

EDM : 
Electrical discharge machining (EDM), also known as spark machining, spark eroding, die sinking, wire burning or wire erosion,it is a non-traditional machining process based on removing material from a part by means of a series of repeated electrical discharges between tools, called electrodes, and the part being machined in the presence of a dielectric fluid

Wire EDM:
Wire EDM is also known as: wire-cut EDM, wire cutting, EDN cutting, EDM wire cutting, wire burning, wire erosion, wire eroding, wire cut electric discharge machining. Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) uses a metallic wire to cut or shape a workpiece, often a conductive material, with a thin electrode wire that follows a precisely programmed path.    Typically the electrode diameters range from .004″ – .012″ (.   10mm – .30mm), although smaller and larger diameters are available.

Aluminum Die Casting:A  metal-forming manufacturing process that produces accurately, defined, smooth and textured-surfaced metal parts. Accomplished by forcing molten metals into a mold form due to high-pressure systems. Corrosion resistant.Aluminum die casting alloys are lightweight and possess high dimensional stability for complex part geometries and thin walls.  

Investment casting:Investment casting is a casting process in which a mold is made around a wax pattern that is burned away when the molten material is poured in. In investment casting, a ceramic slurry is applied around a disposable pattern to form a mold

Aluminum extrusion:Aluminum extrusion is a process by which aluminum alloy material is forced through a die with a specific cross-sectional profile. A powerful ram pushes the aluminum through the die and it emerges from the die opening. When it does, it comes out in the same shape as the die and is pulled out along a runout table.
